After a career in online retail, I wanted a change. I joined Electrica in 2016 to support setting up the new stores department. Since that time, I’ve progressed to become the stores manager with responsibility for the day-to-day management of all component parts for all jobs, from delivery to manufacture. I also allocate delivery notes, organise transport, and kit-out jobs in accordance with the upcoming production schedule.

I love coming to work. I feel part of the family here and not just a number. They have a very caring culture.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading fiction, and spending weekends away in our motor home with my husband and our terrier, Luther.

I’ve been interested in electronics since I was at school. After leaving school, I worked for a while in mechanical engineering and then followed my dream by working in the electronics industry for a blue-chip company. An opportunity came up to bring my skills and knowledge to Electrica and I joined the company in 2015, initially to support a complex project. I’m now the production manager and in-house certified IPC trainer in IPC 610, IPC J-Std, and IPC 7711.

It’s a pleasure to come to work here, where every day is different and I’m able to use my skills and knowledge to solve specific, and often complex challenges.

In my spare time, I enjoy carp fishing and holidays abroad.
